Caramel Sauce

2 egg yolks
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla

1.) Heat all ingredients to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly.  Boil and stir 1 minute.  Serve warm or cold.
2.) Store any remaining sauce in tightly covered container in refrigerator up to 4 weeks.
